Sending Flowers to a Hotel in Montreal: What Goes in Each Field

How to send flowers to a hotel? - Pourquoi pas fleurs

Flowers waiting in a hotel room are one of the best surprises there is. They have one weak point, and it is not the flowers: the front desk has to be able to find the guest. A few fields in your order take care of that.

We deliver to the downtown and Old Montreal hotels several times a week. Here is how to fill in the order so it arrives where you meant it to.

Pink peony and rose arrangement in a glass vase waiting in a luxury Montreal hotel room
Already in water and already arranged. The room supplies nothing, so the arrangement has to arrive finished.

What goes where in the order

  • First name and last name: the person receiving the flowers. That is the name the front desk will look for.
  • Company field: if the room is booked under a company name, put the company there. A room reserved by an employer or an agency is filed under that name, and this is the field that connects the two.
  • First address line: the hotel's address. Copy it from the hotel's own website. Several Montreal hotels share a name with a chain, and the address settles it.
  • Second address line: the room number if you have it. If the flowers are for an event being held at the hotel, put the name of the event here instead.
  • A mobile number for the recipient. Useful if reception cannot place the name, and it does not spoil the surprise, since we only use it if the delivery is about to fail.

If you do not know the room number

Order anyway. Nearly every Montreal hotel will accept a delivery at the concierge desk and hold it for the guest, or bring it up themselves. The name and the company field are what let them place the reservation, and we do the rest at the door.

Send it in a vase

A hotel room has a kettle, an ice bucket and no vase. Add one to your order and the bouquet is ready the moment it arrives, which also means housekeeping can move it without dismantling it.

We transport with water tubes or a water box so the flowers travel fresh, but a wrapped bouquet with nowhere to go ends up lying in a bathroom sink.

Choose the day, not the last morning

Guests check out early and the room is emptied fast. Pick a delivery date in the first part of the stay rather than on the departure day, and the flowers get to be enjoyed rather than packed.

The site does not offer a set delivery hour, as our routes are built the same morning. If the moment truly matters, an anniversary dinner or an arrival you want to greet, write to us through our contact page after ordering and we will do our best.

What suits a hotel room

Compact, in a vase A bedside table and a desk, that is the whole surface. Something low and full reads better than something tall.
Roses, for the classic gesture A hotel room is where roses do their best work. Ours come from Ecuador, with the stem and the bud that go with it.
Light on fragrance A hotel room is small and the windows often do not open. Write “for a hotel room” in the order notes and we keep it discreet.
Easy to carry home If the guest is flying out, a smaller arrangement is a kindness. The photograph lasts longer than the bouquet anyway.

Old Montreal

Hotel Nelligan · Hotel Place d'Armes · Hotel Gault · Hotel William Gray · Le Saint-Sulpice · W Montreal

Send flowers to a hotel room

It all happens in the order: the recipient's first and last name, the company in the company field if the room is booked under one, the hotel address on the first line, the room number or the event on the second, then your card message. Add a vase and it is ready the moment it arrives.

Discover our rose bouquets, our luxury collection and our small bouquets, each arranged by hand in our workshop on the day it is delivered, in Montreal, Laval and on the South Shore.
